I'm engaged!

The Proposal (just cause many of you have asked...so here it is!):

I will update with pictures later!
I apologize if my thoughts are jumbled - I haven't gotten much sleep in the past couple days.
Basically, apparently the proposal was a long planning process...I thought I was planning a surprise party for Mitch to congratulate him on his new job...meanwhile he had gotten Jison to suggest that we throw him a surprise party and she was fantastic in including me on everything so i thought we were really surprising him!  She did an amazing job making sure all bases were covered!

Prior to the proposal on Wednesday night - On Monday night, he had planned a dinner for us at River Palm (saying that he had won a business card raffle for a free meal) - River Palm was where we had had our first date (which is another story in itself).  When we were at River Palm, he actually pretended to propose and I almost started to freak out - he reaches into his pocket and takes out a PEN!  Men, please don't do this to your women!

The following night was a scheduled "company" dinner that he wanted me to attend.  However, that company dinner just turned out to be a false event - in order for me to keep that night free.  Before the company dinner, he told me that he had to stop at Teaneck High School for a meeting to discuss a potential youth revival there.  However, he used that as a ploy to get me there...Teaneck High school was where we had talked for some minutes (in the hallway) when we were serving at Hosanna 3 years ago.  He honestly didn't even know where I was from, what church I went to, anything.  It was all God that enabled him to come to Joy (our church) and find me there - because of Joe! (who also played an instrumental part in our relationship).  Anyways, after Teaneck, we went to have dinner at Ruth Chris - amazing steak!  After dinner, we went outside by the water for a little bit to look at the NYC skyline - He almost tried to fake propose again!

Finally, Wednesday was THE day.  Mitch was pretty smart - he knew that if my attentions were focused on his surprise party, I would be too distracted to think anything was up.  I told him that I was going to be planning a date and that I was going to blindfold him to bring him to the restaurant.  Before the dinner, he asked if we could go to church to pray for someone that needed prayer- that someone was me.  We got to church and prayed for our relationship, etc.  At church, he also pulled out a small white box full of rose petals...and said that those rose petals were going to eventually mean something.  I certainly didn't know that I would find out the meaning of those rose petals that same night!

Afterwards we went over to Yuri, Mish, Jisun and Judy's place, where the essential surprise party was going to take place - by that time, i think everyone knew that a proposal was going to take place...

Without further ado, here is the video that our friend Mish made...Mish, thank you so much!  We love the video!

To all of our friends who were there to see everything and have supported us, we are SO thankful that you were there to celebrate our engagement with us!  I am truly humbled by God's grace.  His timing is perfect.

And Mitch, I love you so much!  Can't wait!  God is good!

Snow!

Hello all!

Today would have been the perfect day to stay home and watch the beautiful snow falling outside, but alas, I had to make my way into the office.  Fortunately, the commute wasn't too bad!  Take a look below at the picture my friend drew for me of my house!  How awesome is that?

ANNA'S HOUSE[1]

-  Did you guys know they opened up a Red Mango in midtown?  I've been meaning to try it, and now since it's close by to my office, it'll be convenient!

- I am in need of a sunny vacation - from now on, I think I need to make it a priority to schedule myself a warm vacation every year during the winter season.  I realize more and more how I am not a stickler for the cold!

- This season's American Idol features an Asian American by the name of Ramiele Malubay - she's actually got a pretty great voice - it would be awesome if she went all the way!

-  I'm going to Toronto in April for a work conference.  Anyone have suggestions on what to do or eat while I'm there?  Actually, does anyone want to come hang out in Toronto???

London and Rome Travels!

Happy New Year, Everyone!
It's hard to believe that it is already 2008 - I feel like it was just yesterday that I was ringing in 2007.  I pray that this year will bring each and every one of you many joys and blessings!

Now, without further ado, I leave you with many pictures of my New Year week spent in London and Rome!  What a blessed and enjoyable week it was!

London recap:

I honestly thought the food in London was excellent - I expected the worst from hearing from everyone how not so great the food would be there.  Then again, it also helped that Mitch's brother and his wife took us to all the good places.   Thank God for family across the ocean!    It was fun to see their flat in London and to walk around and see some of the famous sites, such as Buckingham Palace and Big Ben.  I absolutely loved hearing the British accents everywhere we went, and Amaris (one of Mitch's beautiful nieces) is also developing one!  We went to service at Holy Trinity Brompton, where Mitch's brother's family attends, and we found out that it was the church Nicky Gumbel (founder of Alpha) pastors at, as well as Tim Hughes' church - too bad they weren't there the day we were!  It was nevertheless a great, Spirit-filled service.  Without further ado, I leave you with some London pictures:

On to Rome!

We flew to Rome on the morning of New Year's Eve and got to witness the huge crowds that gather everywhere, from the Spanish steps to the Piazza Navona.  I absolutely could not get enough of Rome.  I could have walked around the streets there for hours, because the architecture and history of the city was just so astounding!  Not to mention the amazing pizza, pasta, and gelato!   I shall let the pictures speak for themselves:
